Ljubljana: design, tradition and innovation (2/3)

Looking around the Slovenian capital

Ljubljana is a city that always keeps an eye on fashion and on the last trends and young designers. In fact there’s no shortage of shops that give space to new talent, like Zoofa, a “container” boutique dedicated to emergent and creative Slovenians, but not only. Browsing around the items on sale you can also find some items from Serbia. In Zoofa they have unique products, items in technical fabric with particular cuts, accessories and jewelers that will definitely be noticed.

It all starts with searching for something particular, with the idea of exploring new connections between new trends and old traditions with the purpose of finding something new. Have you ever seen anything of the sort? Well, Zoofa encloses all of this in one place. Visit their website, but first of all, have a look at my photographs.

In a street not far from the side of the river I find, almost by accident, a special place where they have many objects of different Slovenian designers. From bicycles to glasses, cork handbags and bowties (similar the one I used in this autumn outfit ) and even cell phone covers. All “fun” creations made exclusively in the best of natural materials: wood (WoodWay). Unfortunately I don’t have much time left to look around, it’s almost closing time for shops. I sip a nice coffee and taste a pastry in a lovely little place: the Lolita. Have a look to see how nice it is…

Like the day, even the night is young in the Slovenian capital. And in fact, after an excellent dinner at Cubo, I take a tour around the places that wake up after sunset, bringing life to this wonderful place that gives you a feeling from a different time. If you don’t have any news from me for a while don’t worry, you know I’m off to discover many new things J
