Recycle, recovery and flair

A tablecloth becomes a skirt

Some time ago, my sister had bought meters and meters of black tulle to be used to dress up a particular table. Once she changed house and table, she wanted to get rid of if, but…never!

That’s when I stepped in… I recovered the fabric and called Maria Livia, my trusted seamstress, that turned the meters of tulle into a chameleon style skirt, very adaptable. It’s one of the five items that went straight to my “never without” list.

Elegant with the right accessories for an important evening. Décolleté shoes with a plateau by Ferragamo, a polka dot tee-shirt from Zara, a velvet hand-bag shaped as a sack from Prada and a HandMade necklace by Studiocinque e altro and the outfit is served!

But everything changes and transforms…all you need to do is substitute a few elements and your look becomes fun and slightly retrò, just the way I like it. Dr Martens boots, vintage embroided handbag, a sweater by gentryportofino of a lively color and headphones with golden studs on your ears to move in rhythm with music.

That’s how an old and simple tulle became a fashion item that can adapt to any occasion.
